    • Yes, this box will support up to 1080p, however from what I can tell, it doesn't appear that your monitor will support full 1080p resolutions.

  • If I buy this, what DVI to VGA converters do I need? I have a Viewsonic VA2226w monitor. Also, why does this need to be plugged into the computer? Is this the best box, if I want to hook up my ps3 to the monitor? -Joe
    • The best solution for your particular setup would probably be to get an HDMI to DVI cable to run from the HDMI port on your PS3 to the DVI-D input on your Viewsonic Monitor.

  • I have a video projector that is not HD, will this improve my picture at all?
    • The only case in which you would see an improvement is if your projector supports a higher resolution only through the VGA port. This box changes the format of the video, but not the resolution.

  • I am trying to find an inexpensive way of hooking up my DirecTV H10 via component output to my 22" Viewsonic CRT monitor that has an attached VGA cord. Would this work for this purpose?
    • This box will convert that component signal to a VGA signal as long as your direcTV box outputs a 480p signal or higher at all times. It will not work with a 480i signal. You will want to check the product specifications on your DirecTV box before purchasing this converter.
