  • I have a 32inch vizio lcd tv I want to send to europe. If a buy this converter would it work just the way it works here? THANKS
    • I believe that the Visio TVs support 50 Hz (you will want to double check) If so, this adatper will allow you to connect your PAL sources (like DVD players or a cable box) in Europe.

  • I have a KDL-46V2500 Sony LCD TV that I bought in USA. I am now moving to the UK and wish to keep my TV. However, since the format for HDTV in USA is NTSC and in UK it is PAL, I don't know if I can still use my TV. Will using a converter like the MayFlash NTSC to PAL converter do the job for me? Will I be able to get HD resolution? Thanks for your help.
    • Our devices are described source to display, so you will actually want the opposite adatper PAL to NTSC adapter.

  • I've got a american game on my gameconsole, which only displays in black and white on my PAL-television. It works normal on ntsc-televisions, can I use this converter to solve my problem? and if it turns out it doesn't work, can I return it?
    • You will need to make sure that your TV supports a 60 Hz signal. These inexpensive converters convert the video encoding but do not change the frame rate to the 50hz standard for PAL. Many newer TVs will support both frame rates however, so converting the video encoding is enough. If you end up purchasing this item without verifying compatibilty first and you need to return it, it is subject to our standard 30-day return policy.

  • Does this impact quality of the picture? I have a LCD HD TV and need to make sure the picture quality does not suffer.
    • This will work with an HD plasma or LDC TV as long as it is a 60Hz PAL TV. To find out if your TV is 60Hz, check with your manual or contact the TV manufacturer. Also, you will need to use a composite signal which is the red, white, and yellow RCA connections. You will only be able to acheive standard definition resolution, not HD.

  • Will I be able to play Pal DVD's on my NTSC configured laptop? Or will it reset my laptop dvd drive to pal permanently?
    • This product has no use with a laptop, unless your laptop is outputing composite video to be viewed on a pal external display. It changes the signal only, and has no affect on hardware or the refresh rate of the signal.
