Increase network throughput with the Wireless MIMO PCI card from Level One. The PCI card makes use of multiple 802.11 signals to increase bandwidth.

The MIMO standard uses multiple antennas to process multiple 802.11 data streams. The array of anntennas allow the Wi-Fi signal to be extended over greater distances.

Of course, not all wireless routers and clients support MIMO, which is why the PCI adapter is backwards compatible with 802.11b/g.

Better Security:
Not only is 64/128-bit WEP supported but the NIC also works with more advanced security mechanisms such as WPA, PSK, TKIP, and WPA2 that uses AES encryption.
