The Pocket AP from Level One can act as a network bridge to provide wireless support as a base for your wireless network or can be configured to connect wirelessly to an existing AP. Its small form factor makes it mobile.
Wireless AP:
Simply plug the AP into your router, switch, or internet connection and sharing is easy. NAT allows you to use a single global address(or a single internet connection) for several computers.
Wireless Bridge:
What if you have a wireless AP already but no wireless card? No problem! The Pocket AP can be set to connect wirelessly to an existing 802.11b/g network. Plug in your devices locally with a
Cat 5 cable. Leave your wireless configuration on the AP and don't worry about complicated settings changes to local machines.
Security:
Any networking professional will tell you that your network should not only be encrypted, but should not be broadcasting an SSID. When networks broadcast SSID's they are essentially telling anyone within range to join the network. This Pocket AP allows you to disable SSID broadcasting to keep your network secure and encrypted.
Small and Portable:
Only eight centimeters long (smaller than an index finger), this is one of the smallest AP's around. With its advanced networking modes, it provides the traveler with a fully equipped networking Swiss army knife.
