While JPEG is still the only format allowed for video evidence in many countries, MPEG4 delivers a smoother image over the same bandwidth.

Ethernet Power
The 802.3af standard is among those supported. This means that the camera can be installed where an AC power source is not readily available by simply plugging it into a PoE-compliant switch; which will transmit both power and data over your existing Cat5e or Cat6 network cabling.
Bi-Directional Audio
To make your security and surveillance more useful, a microphone and loudspeakers can be attached to the IP camera so you can talk and listen using the two-way audio support. This is also ideal for cost effective video conferencing.
