Quickly join networks separated by 60 km of copper no-man's land with Intellinet's media converter. SM fiber can close the large geographical gap using SC connectors.
Low power:
To go 60 km, you'd expect the media converter to pull a lot of power. The converter runs off a simple five volt connection only taking a maximum of 3.4 Watts. The low power and small form factor make it extremely effective in network implementation.
Copper no-man's land:
The great outdoors are horrible for Cat5 and Cat6 which can't even break a few hundred meters in more favorable conditions. Fiber can handle the interference common to the outdoors because it is not electrical in nature.
