This HD-SDI/SDI switch automatically detects HD and SD signals and adjusts appropriately. The Matrix fits in a 1RU rackmountable unit that is modular and swappable.
Operating within the prescribed SMPTE performance requirements, this matrix switcher/splitter will take 8 inputs and 4 outputs. The above image is of this product with the audio module added (this particular unit does not come with the Audio module). The matrix can send any source to any display device connected in any combination.
You can swap out video and audio modules and even power supply modules. The switch control panel features easy to use intuitive buttons. Cradles are also available for the control panels if you wish to switch from far away. The control panel simply clips on and off the box and clips onto a cradle that will communicate with the Matrix over coax cable from up to 300 feet away. RS232 is also available on the matrix for third party controllers (such as AMX or Creston).
