  • will this work from a cable box with hdmi output to a lcd monitor with dvi input. and will this work from a pc with dvi output to a lcd tv with a hdmi input.. i was just wondeing i was tring to to add my pc to my tv and ad a cablebox to my kids lcd monitor.
    • It will work with you LCD monitor the way you describe as long as the DVI port is HDCP enabled, and it should work the other direction for your second use with no problem.

  • Coming from a DVR (w/HD 1080 upconversion) HDMI output, will the conversion from HDMI to DVI carry the audio also if your monitor has speakers?
    • No the DVI will not carry the audio from the HDMI. it will only carry the video.
