I want to connect my iMac 20" screen 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo to my Sony KDF-E42A10 tv, which I believe has an HDMI input. The Sony manual says that I can use an HDMI to DVI cable. Is this best hook up I can do and when you use the TV for a monitor if you have bluetooth keyboard and mouse I assume you can use the computer and tv monitor like you did with the computer monitor?
- Yes this would be the correct cable to use. The quality on the screen will be very good as both HDMI and DVI signals are digital. You may need to enable the HDMI video out using the function key + an "F" key. Besides that it is a really easy setup.
