  • I just bought a hd tv and i want to know if i need the hdmi cable for my hd direct box.
    • If your box has an HDMI output port and your TV has an HDMI input port then this will work for you. You could also get good quality by using a component cable with a digital audio cable, but HDMI is a good solution because you only need one cable for high definition audio and video. Just check the specifications on your box and TV to make sure they both support HDMI and this is what you need.

  • I need to convert HDMI signal out to composite. From what I learned, I could change HDMI to vga then change to composite. I have a psp 2000. It has HDMI mini out to HD TV. It works great. I bought video glasses for potability. The movies play great from PSP to glasses but will not play the games. I don't want to buy an expensive converter. Can you help? Thanks!
    • It is possible to convert HDMI to VGA then to composite, however it would require two conversion boxes, both requiring power and would be at least a few hundred dollars. I'm afraid it would not be a good portable solution. I would suggest contacting Sony to find out your options.
