Pros: Great price, I have seen similar items for over $1000. Everything works as advertised. I am able to keep my Blu-Ray player, HD-DVR, and HD Receiver all centrally located and provide any combination of signal throughout my house to different TVs. Passes 1080P no problem. Includes remote and can also be controlled via RS232. I was hesitant to purchase this as first, not knowing if it would work, but I am now glad that I did get it.

Cons: When switches sources in a zone, other zones may temporarily cut out while HDMI handshake takes place, but it doesn't always happen and it is only a second or so before it comes back on. If you are watching the same item on in 2 locations, and one location only accepts PCM audio, then only PCM will be passed onto the other, however, I don't think that is the fault of this device, I believe that is just how HDMI will work.

Pros: I’ve owned this HDMI switch for about 18 months. I’ve connected 4 sources (2 SA8300, 1 PS3, 1HTPC) to 6 TVs (3 through a HDMI splitter added to one port. All TVs are recent @2009 or better (Samsung, Panasonic, Coby) and are from 21 to 52 inches. All TVs are 1080P capable. Takes about 10 secs to switch. After setting everything up, I have never normally had to reboot the switch …. The only times are about 30% of the time when the power to my house is interrupted… even then, I’m not sure it was the switch. I highly recommend this switch. I was skeptical because of the price but it performs really well. I’ve tested bluray disc only with the demo disc that comes with the PS3, works fine.

Cons: None really.

Other Comments:

Pros: So far, this product works pretty well. It does what it is supposed to. No picutre or sound quality issues and the switching works well.

Cons: Seems to have some hand-shaking issues with the PS3 with some of my TVs. On two of my televisions, the PS3 picture goes in and out. All other sources, DVD Changer, Directv receivers work very well.

Other Comments: The unit is rack mountable, if you can find the ears to make it work. The holes for the ears are not a standard 1" apart. They are slightly bigger. I contacted Apogee, but they never responded and the phone number I found for them was just a sale number and they could not direct me to tech support. I was able to rig something up to make it work, but it would have been nice to have the mounting ears to fit in my rack.
