This cable has a male to female connection type. This is actually a more common way to extend a mouse or keyboard because PS/2 devices usually have a permanently attached PS/2 cable. So you need an extension cable that will connect to the cable end of your PS/2 peripheral. Simply connect the female cable connector to the cable end of your mouse or keyboard and the male connection goes into your computer. Doing this can provide you with an additional 25 feet of PS/2 cable extension.
