How It Works

This is possible because the first pin assignment in a USB cable draws between 4.75 and 5.25 volts of power from your computer. Using this power, the active repeaters inside this USB cable provide a boost for the signal. In turn, they continue to send power down to connected repeaters or devices. This construction technique allows you to daisy-chain up to 5 of these USB cable with active repeaters with out losing any any signal quality or data transfer speeds for a total distance up to 80 ft.
