Can you explain why I would want to buy this device is "It is not fast enough to provide a very convenient connection"? I really don't understand this comment!!! Is the 199.95 model faster?
- This modem only operates at GPRS speed, which is a fairly slow connection speed. It would be very slow for browsing the internet. It would be fine for just downloading emails or something like that, but will not work well for regular web browsing. For decent web browsing you would at least want an EDGE speed modem. You could use the Falcom Samba 75 USB GSM/GPRS/EDGE Modem, part SW-5855.

Can this fit in the express 54 or the express 34 slot in my laptop. I would like to buy it but i want to know if it can fit in that slot and also if it has 26 pins.
- This will not fit into an express card slot. This is a PCMCIA card and will only work with a PCMCIA slot.

- You can use this for connecting to the internet, but the GSM modem speed is very slow. It is not fast enough to provide a very convenient connection.
