Description

The FC42 from FibroLAN lets you take your serial connection farther. Easily transmit your RS485 or RS422 signal over fiber optic cabling up to 25km with this single mode 1310nm line extender. Need to take your serial connections over long distances? Ever need to send your serial signal over something more secure? Fiber optic connectivity is the only way to go.

The FibroLAN FC42 extender supports RS-485 4 wire full duplex operation with switch selectable terminations for installation at the edge of the bus. FibroLAN's unique line extender design also makes this converter transparent to the types of data transmitted. This means it supports NRZ and NRZI protocols.

The FC42 gives you the flexibility to connect the extender to any segment of an RS485 network. Moreover, you can connect the FC42 in between network segments, giving you ultimate control over where your network extension is coming from.

Please note that the advertised price is for a single unit of the FC42 and they must be used in pairs.
