The FibroLAN FC32 lets you transmit your full duplex RS232 signal over a fiber optic cable up to 3km from the source with multimode fiber cable. This line extender also features compatibility with the full set of 8 RS232 signals, including TxD, RxD, RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, DCD, Ri, and any subset of the previous.
Installation of the FC32 is a snap. Simply connect your standard RS232 copper cabling with a DB-9 male connector, then attach your SC fiber optic cables to the 1310nm, multi-mode, SC connectors. Plug it in and connect a receiving FC32 unit up to 2000 meters away.
A unique design on the FC32 allows for product transparency to the protocol details, including number of stop bits or baud rate.
Please note that the FC32 includes only one send or receive unit and must be purchased in pairs to convert your fiber optic RS232 signal back into a standard DB9 connection.
