This media converter 100B1 (must used with 100B2) can transmit and receive in one single fiber. Bidirectional feature will double your fiber utilization. It also reduces the installation and maintenance cost.

In a traditional optical link, a fiber pair consists of two unidirectional fibers: one fiber is used to transmit and another fiber is used to receive. Media converters without bidirectional feature must use two fibers in order to transmit and receive at the same time.

Our bidirectional media converter 100B1 (must used with 100B2) can transmit and receive in one single fiber. This technology multiplexes two optical wavelengths of 1310nm and 1550nm into a single fiber. Bidirectional feature will double your fiber utilization. It also reduces the installation and maintenance cost.

Plug and Play Features:

-- Auto MDI/MDI-X Configuration: Automatically detects and configures the twisted pair port on the converter to the correct MDI or MDI-X configuration.

-- Auto Negotiation: Automatically configure 10Mbps or 100Mbps on all TP ports.

-- Flow Control: Supports 802.3x Flow Control for Full-Duplex mode and Back Pressure for Half-Duplex mode.

-- Hot Pluggable: Our media converter can be plugged in/out without affect other links.

-- Auto Link Restoration: This media converter will automatically establish the link after a link loss.

Easy Diagnostic Feature:

-- Link Loss Pass Through: This feature can keep the integrity of the network. --- It also is a troubleshooting feature that allow media converter to detect the loss of signal.

-- Far-End Fault: This feature is generally used with Link Loss Pass Through. It is for efficient fiber fault identification.

-- Diagnostic LED indicators: LED indicators signal the operating status of the converter for easy fault identification.
