This modem will connect you to the internet literally anywhere in the world you can receive a cell phone signal using the EDGE/GPRS network and your phone's SIM card.

EDGE/GPRS (EnhancedGPRS) is like GPRS on steroids. EGPRS boasts data transfer speeds as high as 236.8Kb/sec, nearly eight times as fast as most GPRS networks. In addition to North America, EDGE services are available in over 40 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America, giving you portable internet options that are otherwise unreachable.

Simply insert your SIM card into the wireless card, plug that into your laptop's wireless card port and you have full internet access. Using the included headset, you're laptop will act as your cell phone and then some, including SMS, fax, text and image applicatons.

This adapter supports GPRS multi-slot class 10 and GPRS mobile station class B. It is also compliant to GSM phase 2, 2+ and 2- control via AT commands. The tri-band receiver works at GSM frequencies of 900, 1800 and 1900MHz.
