  • I have my computer and flat screen monitor hooked up with a vga cable. If I used this cable to run from the vga on the computer to the dvi on the monitor, will the picture be better or the same??
    • Your current connection is best. Most flat screen monitors only have a DVI-D input and would not work with this type of cable. If it does have a DVI-I input, the video quality would be identical to a direct VGA connection.

  • I have a laptop and flat screen tv with a DVI-In conection, can I use this cable to conect the laptop to the tv?,and also for the audio Im gonna need a separte cable?
    • That will only work if the DVI port on the TV is natively capable of interpreting a VGA type signal. Most DVI ports on TVs are DVI-D type ports which means they only support digital signals and will not work with a VGA signal, since VGA is analog. You'll want to check the specifications of your TV to see if that will work with your TV.
