The dv-Link by Sewell
This is part of a new line by Sewell called Sewell-Link. The dv-Link is a CAT5 balun with DVI. It will extend your signal up to 164 ft.
DVI Extender over Cat5
As simple as the name implies, plug in your DVI cable, and the powered Sender unit will plug right into any Cat5 and extend the video signal over 150 ft into a powered Receiver unit. Enjoy your video anywhere.
Ideal Situations for the dv-Link
- Security purposes, where the viewing display is located away from the source
- Anywhere that would be environmentally harsh on your computer equipment, but a display could be mounted, ie. A boat, Outdoors, Childrens Playroom, etc.
- Any situation where you need to run the wire through your walls/flooring/ceiling. Cat5 is easier to run (not to mention Much less expensive) than a bulky DVI cable.
- Great for Projectors in a home scenario or professional/educational setting.
- This DVI is perfect for anytime you need to have your video a significant distance away from the source.
