Pros: Went from two Belkin 16' usb extender to this product. Its the lowest cost out there. Tech support said the next higher priced model was no better in performance. Using a 25' Cat5e patch cable yielded way better performance then the two 16' cable extenders. And the update rate is noticably faster. Its as if the mouse was plugged into the computer directly and not 25' feet away.

Wernickpro - Say Goodbye to USB Length Restrictions

Pros: I just put a 50 foot ethernet cable between these extenders and it works like a charm!

Cons: Haven't found one yet.

Other Comments: Seriously, if you need a really long USB cable you are going to hit a 15 foot limitation. This is the solution.

Pros: The extra length is very nice, and it is very simple to hook up. Just plug the Ethernet cable into both ends and plug your device in.

Cons: Communication drops out occasionally for a very short time, so if you are using this to extend an RS-232 adapter it can cause problems with losing the com port, but every other device I have used it for has worked great.

Larry - USB extender

Pros: I've used three of these USB extenders with excellent results. I used to have a powered USB extender that cost almost $400. This works every bit as well at a fraction of the cost, requires no external power and installs easily.

Cons: Non found yet.
