while instantly switching between SD, HD and 2K. Multibridge
Eclipse also has 12 channels of XLR AES/EBU audio in and out
and 4 channels of XLR professional analog audio in and out.
Now you can work with the widest range of equipment, such as
HDCAM, HD-D5, HDCAM SR, Betacam SP, Digital Betacam, HD
receivers, HDV cameras, televisions, mixers and many more.
Capture and Playback Everything Via PCI Express
The Multibridge Eclipse by Blackmagic Design is an external chassis that connects to your computer via PCIe (PCI Express), the same card working for either PCs or Macs. You can capture and playback via SDI, HD-SDI, HDMI, or
Component video. Since you are connected via PCIe (25 times faster than firewire), editing is extremely responsive.
SDI and HD-SDI
The Multibridge Eclipse offers 2 high quality 10-bit 3GB/s SDI/HD-SDI inputs and 2 10-bit 3GB/s SDI/HD-SDI outputs which are SD, HD, and 2K switchable. Both the inputs and outputs are usable as a Dual Link HD-SDI for 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 connections or 3 Gb/s for HD-SDI 4:4:4 or 2K connections. SDI formats include switchable 525 NTSC, 625 PAL, 720HD, 1080HD and 2K 2048 x 1556.
Insane Audio Connections
In terms of audio inputs and outputs, the Multibridge Eclipse offers 8 channels of AES/EBU of input and another 8 channels of output via 4 DB-25 ports each (4 x DB-25 input and 4 x DB-25 output), along with 2 channels of professional balanced XLR inputs, 2 channels of professional balanced XLR outputs, and 2 channels of RCA analog audio outputs.
Analog and Digital Video
Along with an insane comprehensive set of broadcasting connections, the Multibridge Eclipse also offers both digital and analog home theater connections: 2 x HDMI in, 2 x HDMI out, and Component/
Composite in and out. Conversions between these signals along with the SDI connections can be performed without being connected to a computer via PCIe.
