    • This is designed for capture, (specifically the software) However it will install as a USB video controller, so if you have software that supports live camera feeds it should work for you.

  • Does this device come with the software necessary to digitize the analog signals?
    • This item does not have inputs for audio, but the audio signal is generally just run through your sound card's line-in or microphone jack. The recording software will then record the audio from your sound card and the video from this device and combine them into the recorded video file. If you'd like an adapter that does have the audio ports built directly onto it you can use this part here: USB 2.0 Video Capture Adapter, part SW-1313.

  • Can I plug this device into my old turntable and plug into my computer to convert old analog records to digital? Do you have a better suggestion?
    • This adapter is designed for video capture only. You can actually use a simple cable like the SW-7921-6 to transfer audio directly into a Line in or Microphone jack on your computer.
