Switch and send video from any of 4 sources to any of 4 destinations as far as 40 meters (approx. 120 feet) over Cat5 or Cat6 Cable with Apogee's amazingly priced Cat5/6 4x4
HDMI Matrix.
Application
In case you're having a hard time picturing what this matrix switcher/splitter can do for you, imagine this: you have as many as four different locations in a building that all need to have flat panels that work independently of each other some of the time, and work in sync with each other some of the time, and you want to run it all from a central location. Essentially, you'll need to be able to send video content from any of four sources to any of the four displays at any time; the combinations are endless!
Not only are you going to have to be able to route any video to any location at any time, but you'll have to figure out how to get over HDMI's short distance limitation. According to the spec, HDMI is only guaranteed to travel 16 feet over approved HDMI cable. Although under most conditions HDMI performs better, but you can't leave this project up to luck.
Apogee's 4x4 HDMI Matrix over Cat5/6 is up to the challenge. It also comes with the four receivers included, so there's nothing much more to buy besides the economical
Cat5 or Cat6 cable you'll be using.
