7Flex LCD Arm for Floating Monitor Above Desk Reviews - 7FLEX

Pros: I have been using the 7Flex for about 2 weeks and couldn't imagine life without it. Installation was a piece of cake, and it has worked flawlessly, exactly as advertised. It is an amazing piece of equipment, essential for anyone pounding out 8hrs at a computer.

Cons: The only unpleasent thing was that I didn't buy one sooner.

Pros: Effortless,extensive range of motion for the monitor. Very asthetic and the monitor and arm can be reduced to a minimal form factor when not in use.

Cons: I have 3 and each is without drawbacks so far in over 2 years of use.

Other Comments: I use 2 at my work station for a 3-screen display. In my work, I need many references on display simulaneously. As a bonus, the work area on my desk below the suspended monitors is free space. I have a 3rd arm for a monitor on our kitchen island (Martha Stewart is a favorite). When not in use, which is rare, it folds away into a small package and is concealed with an appliance cover. I have found other monitor arms to be clunky, awkward looking and not worth the cost. This design is both elegant and of high value. It looks and feels like it could last forever. I can recommend this highly and I found Sewell Direct to have the best deal. Pros: Easy to install, handles a 22" monitor with no trouble. I used the grommet hole in the computer style desk I have and it worked great.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: 11/1/2009: Today, I installed the 7Flex. It works the way that I hoped it would on my recording studio desk with shelf riser. The 7Flex base was placed on a riser shelf above the desktop counter top and needed to come forward and be lowered below the shelf level. This was a main concern of mine. It worked out fine. Also, it easily is holding up my 14 lb., 25" LCD Monitor. I like the quality of the product.

Cons: I used the Thru-desk method. The company should supply, at least, one regular nut for tightening up the base. It only provided one "stop nut" that only has threads on half of the nut. My recording studio desk is only about 1 1/4" thick and was impossible to tighten up the base. I had to go the the hardware store and buy a couple of nuts and a washer, in order for it to work.

Other Comments: I know a picture is worth a thousand words, but, it would have been nice to have a little bit more written instructions regarding assembly of the product.

Pros: I'd like to say that I think the product is great at that price point. And you guys have good customer service. I'm happy. Thanks.
