  • Is this device supported in Windows Vista? I recently bought 2, and I can get it to work with Windows XP and Linux OS, but not with Vista.
    • It should work off of the native Vista USB drivers, however you will also want to ensure that the connected device is Vista compatible. If you need additional help you can contact our tech support team at 1-800-709-1345 option 1.

  • I'm looking for a device to switch a USB MFC (composite device) between a computer and a printer only usb print server. I understand that the other devices (the card reader and scanner) would be unavailable when its switched away from the host computer. My hosts are all either Linux, BSD Unix or WinXP SP2. Would this switch work for my application?
    • This should work for you. It will simply switch controll of the printer from the comptuer to the print server. It does not require any specific software or OS support.

  • I have a printer/scanner device which is usb only. This printer/scanner device is connected to my apple airport express, which makes it a "wireless networked" printer, but I have to connected directly to my laptop when scanning. So my question is if this can be used to keep my printer/scanner always plugged into airport express and allows me to plug my printer/scanner to my laptop without having to unplug the printer/scanner from airport express?
    • This is tecnically designed to connect two computers to one device, however it should allow you to switch to your Airport Express as the second computer. We haven't tested that configuration here, but once switched, it should just pass through the USB signal.

  • I just want to be sure that I can use this device for switching form one computer to another?
    • Yes, this manual switch allows you to share one USB device between two different computers. Because the switch is manual you just have to hit a button on the switch to change which computer has access to the USB device.

  • I'm looking for a switch box to connect a PC to an Imac which also includes audio. Do you have this?
    • If you are trying to use your Imac screen for your PC, I'm afraid that we do not have a solution. The Imacs do not have any video inputs to support additional computers.
