Gefen's 1:8 VGA Cat5 Distributor allows you to split a VGA signal eight ways and send each up to 330 feet over Cat5 cable to separate VGA displays. This is the Receiver Unit, which converts your video signal back from Cat5 to VGA.
Splitter/Converter/Extender
The VGA Cat5 Distribution Sender takes a VGA video signal from a computer or VGA device and converts, splits, and extends it. The signal is first converted from VGA to Cat5, then split from a single signal to eight, and finally amplified and sent through each of the eight RJ45 ports.
The video signal can now be sent through each Cat5 cable over distances of up to 330 feet to your displays. This is where the receiver comes in. One receiver at each Cat5 termination converts your signal back to VGA - from there, simply use a VGA Cable to connect to your monitor, projector, or other display.
To extend a component signal, all you need is a VGA to Component Cable and a VGA Female to Female Adapter.
